During the project this is what we went through.

Hello again and before u read this we just want to let you know that our opinion on have sound, audio and digital audio are different things based in the same category.

As you know myself and cian have been working on the project / presentation under the theme of digital audio and from what we have been reading and researching we have a different view on the project.



We have discovered how many things digital audio has changed in the world, between using it to block signals between communication channels or changing words and how audio is delivered to the world. Every audio file we hear is edited before being played to the rest of the world by secret undercover technical workers. From cartoon audio files to mimicking and recreating Presidential videos to even recording a video on your phone.



We took it upon ourselves to try something simple and see how easily it could be mimicked so we got Cian to record a short audio clip of him talking about the weather while in his back garden. In doing this we are able to capture background noises like, dogs barking, wind hissing, birds chirping or even just kids playing. The project we then undertook was that we took the recorded file and transferred it to the computer that had audacity so that we could edit it. I tried for some time but then I found the noise reduction option and when I went into it all the settings were there, such as how I could make parts of the video lower, his voice to sound lower than the background noise and the one we were looking for how to get rid of the background noise leaving only the sound of Cian talking in his edited part.



It took some time getting use to at first but when we started to get the hang of things it all started running smoothly. I spent like 3-4 hours trying to edit the file and by the end of it I was pretty happy with the outcome of the video. We were able to definitely reduce the sound of the background noise down to a T. The is a clear difference in the project but we could not completely remove the sound which was the original plan. But with our presentation and what we created we were happy with. We were both able to learn and do something that we can use in the future and I hope everyone else is going to learn a thing or two from our presentation.
